The HSJ232 is Sturmey Archer's twistshifter, supplied complete with a 2250mm inner wire. Shifting is done by twisting the grip rather than pushing a lever, which many riders find intuitive and easy to operate even in full winter gloves. The included 2250mm inner wire is the figure to check against your current setup, since cable length is measured from the shifter to the mech and varies with frame size and routing.
It suits anyone whose existing twist shifter has become stiff, cracked or unreliable, and the wire coming in the box means one less part to source separately. We have it on the shelf in Kennington, so you can collect it free of charge or leave the bike with us and have our mechanics fit and set it up the same day.
