These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cycle Fix London website, mobile app and services, including buying products from our shop and booking workshop services. Please read them carefully. By using our website or app, placing an order, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us and how to contact us
Cycle Fix London Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a bicycle workshop and retailer based at 338 Kennington Road, London SE11 4LD.
- Email: hello@cyclefixlondon.co.uk
- Phone: 0207 820 0028
- Company registration number: 09596767 (England & Wales)
- VAT number: GB 273 5986 56
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing our website or app, creating an account, placing an order or booking a service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We may update these Terms from time to time (see "Changes to these Terms" below).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or book a service with us. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract.
4. Your account
You may create an account on our website or app. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached. You can close your account at any time; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data afterwards.
5. Products and availability
We sell a wide range of bicycle parts and accessories. We take care to describe and price products accurately, but we do not guarantee that all descriptions, images or other content are completely error-free; colours and appearance may vary by device.
All products are subject to availability. Some items are not held in stock and are ordered in from our suppliers on request ("order-in items"). These may take longer to become available for collection or delivery, and we will let you know the expected timescale where possible. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and offer an alternative or a refund.
6. Price and VAT
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the applicable rate where chargeable. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown separately before you complete your order. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel the order.
7. How a contract is formed
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We will send an acknowledgement that we have received your order, but this does not mean it has been accepted. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm your order has been accepted or dispatched (for delivery), or is ready for collection (for Click & Collect). If we are unable to accept your order, we will let you know and will not charge you, or will refund any payment taken.
8. Payment
We accept payment by debit and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Klarna. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details. Where you choose Klarna or another "buy now, pay later" option, your agreement for that payment method is with the provider and is subject to their terms and eligibility checks. Goods remain our property until we have received payment in full.
9. Click & Collect and delivery
- Click & Collect: you can collect your order from our shop at 338 Kennington Road, London SE11 4LD. We will let you know when your order is ready; please bring your order confirmation and, where requested, proof of identity. Order-in items may take longer before they are ready.
- Delivery: we deliver to addresses we cover at checkout. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed unless we state otherwise. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
10. Your right to cancel and return goods
If you are a consumer buying online or otherwise at a distance, you have the right to cancel most orders under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You may cancel within 14 days from the day after you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods, without giving a reason.
To cancel, tell us clearly within the 14-day period (for example by email to hello@cyclefixlondon.co.uk). You must then return the goods within 14 days. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty or not as described. We will refund the price paid, plus standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or proof you have sent them). We may reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods caused by handling beyond what is necessary to check them.
Exceptions: the right to cancel does not apply to certain goods, including goods made to your specification or clearly personalised (such as custom spokes or cables cut to length), sealed goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, and gift cards. This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty.
11. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If goods are faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a remedy, which may include a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances and how long you have had the goods. Parts we supply and fit are also covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
12. Workshop services and booking deposits
You can book repairs and servicing for your bicycle online, in our app or in store. All work is subject to an initial assessment, and we may decline work on equipment that is unsafe or beyond reasonable repair.
- Deposits: some bookings require a deposit to secure your appointment, shown when you book and paid through our secure payment provider. The deposit is normally applied towards the cost of the work.
- Booking policy: when you book, you agree to our workshop and booking policy, which forms part of your contract with us and sets out how appointments, deposits, quotes and collection of your bicycle are handled.
- Cancellation and no-shows: bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours, or non-attendance, may be subject to a fee or loss of all or part of your deposit, to cover the time reserved for you.
- The work: we will carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If additional work or parts are needed, we will seek your approval before proceeding where practicable. Estimated completion times are not guaranteed unless agreed in writing. Pricing shown online is an estimate; final pricing is confirmed after inspection.
- Collection of your bicycle: please collect your bicycle promptly once we tell you the work is complete. We may charge reasonable storage fees for bicycles left uncollected for an extended period after we have notified you and given reasonable opportunity to collect.
13. Gift cards
Gift cards can be redeemed against products and, where stated, services. They are not exchangeable for cash and cannot be reloaded unless we say otherwise. Any expiry period and other conditions will be made clear at the time of purchase. Please treat gift cards like cash, as we cannot replace lost or stolen cards.
14. Loyalty scheme
If you join our loyalty scheme, you can earn and redeem points or rewards in line with the loyalty scheme terms in force at the time. Points and rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire. We may change or end the loyalty scheme, or vary how points are earned or redeemed, on reasonable notice, and will not remove points you have already validly earned without good reason.
15. Intellectual property
All content on our website and app – including text, graphics, logos, images, the Cycle Fix London name and brand, and software – is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use our website and app for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, distribute or otherwise exploit our content without our prior written permission.
16. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, we do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, losses not caused by our breach, or business losses (we supply our products and services to consumers for private use). We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our products, services or the law. The version that applies to your order or booking is the one in force at the time you place it. We will post the current version on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
